Jill has seven years of experience working in mental health and behavioral health working with children, teens, and adults. She served the Mercer County, PA community as a Behavioral Health Technician in the schools, homes, and community. She was also a Psychotherapist, Mobile Therapist, and Behavior Consultant. Jill attended Youngstown State University and graduated with a Master of Social Work in 2020. She is a Licensed Social Worker in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Her experience and therapeutic techniques include, but are not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, trauma-informed practice, activity therapy, play therapy, poetry therapy, art therapy, and solution-focused therapy. Jill also has experience working with the LGTBQIA population and helping trans clients before, after, and during transition to move forward on a path that best represents the truest self.

Dr. Mihalcin has been working in the mental health field for over 25 years. He has worked with many families, schools, and businesses in successfully improving behaviors of children, adolescents, and adults using evidence-based treatment strategies. He has extensive experience working with clients with a wide range of diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. He also has many years of experience as an Accreditation Manager involved in maintaining compliance with the Joint Commission regulatory standards. Finally, Dr. Mihalcin has experience as a graduate professor and a national presenter in Applied Behavior Analysis.

Heather McCaslin, MA, LPCC

Heather graduated with a B.A from the University of Redlands with a major in Psychology in 2010. Immediately pursued the mental health field working and took on roles as a teacher counselor in a milieu setting with children, a primary counselor in a residential facility for adults, as a therapeutic behavioral coach in a high school setting, a RBT with children and as a family liaison to connect services within the schools / community for troubled youth. Following 10 years of experience in the field sought my MA in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling through Walden University and completed school in 2021. As a LPC, her preference is to work from a systemic, collaborative, strength-based approach that is mindful of cultural, ethnic and economic concerns to promote self love and growth. In working from this approach she hopes to help clients acknowledge the various unique contexts which impact their lives, connect with their strengths, and learn new ways to live. Through utilizing various therapeutic approaches including family systems, CBT and Adlerian theories, she hopes to provide an empathetic, safe and non judgemental space where clients can process and heal.
Dr. Pondillo is a licensed psychologist in Ohio and Pennsylvania. He has over 30 years of experience in mental health, which includes specialized assessment and treatment for individuals with developmental disabilities. In addition to his work at Oakwood Counseling Center, Inc., Dr. Pondillo has been an adjunct professor of Psychology at Youngstown State University for nearly 30 years.
Matthew graduated from the College of Wooster in 2011 with a B.A. in Psychology. He then spent the next 10 years serving in various capacities in the mental health field across the United States. These positions included teacher counselor, group supervisor, behavioral coach, case manager, and residential specialist. Matthew received his M.A. in Forensic Psychology in 2022 from the College of Professional Psychology while serving in his capacity as a counseling intern at a community mental health service agency. He is licensed to practice in the state of Ohio, where he is currently continuing to serve children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of emotional and psychological disturbances.

Mario is a Licensed Professional Counselor(LPC) whose journey in mental health began in 2021 as a Behavioral Technician. Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from The Ohio State University and a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Edinboro University, Mario brings a wealth of knowledge to his role. His professional background includes working with clients across diverse age groups, addressing a spectrum of diagnoses, including drug and alcohol-related issues. Operating from a foundation of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mario takes pride in integrating a variety of therapeutic theories and techniques tailored to individual client needs. He firmly believes in the power of collaboration between client and clinician, with his overarching goal being to provide a nurturing space for clients to reflect, evolve, and achieve their personal growth milestones.
